One of the most important, and not only, things that you you need to consider, is that while you are trying to earn your cash, someone else needs to pay it.
My grandfather used to say: In a business, both parties need to earn something, or there will not be a business. What you need to consider is how you are helping others to get to their goals, while you are working on yours.
One very common way is ads clicks. These days, it has become very recognized that most business will pay for clicks (majority goes through google ads, but there are other as well - whom through affiliating into the google ads network, you can get them through google ads system as well).
This way, while others click on ads, you can return a favor to them by clicking on ads for them.

Paypal Affiliates - Not that good
Paypal has introduced an affiliate system several years ago (I think it's inception was sometime at 2004. At the beginning it was USA referral only, but once they became a more global company, every one can become an affiliate.
As a PayPal user, you can collect up to 1,000 USD (in any currency) for each new merchant you refer. The Merchant Referral Bonus program rewards you for bringing new businesses to PayPal, the catch here is that the bonus can be accumulated only within the first 12 months of the new referal registration.
So basically, if you have introduced a good merchant, but, he started doing business on the 367th day of his registration, you get no bonus.
Thank you.

Amazon Associates - A way to sell books and more
Amazon Associates (or affiliates) has been around for many years now.
The % you can make is upto 15% (yes 15 !!!) on some products (currently, if you refer to endless.com, you will get 15% on commission) . You also get nice payback on specific items.
Lately, they came with a new 8.5% for Kindle
products.
The idea is that the more items and buyers you refer, they higher is your commission. This is a proactive method (remember - don't be passive).
Payment for qualifying associates, is done approx 60 days after the eligible month (Payment for January gets paid on late March, etc..)
*A nice item was lately added to Blogger (however) I find it easier to use the link builder tool, than the fixed gadgets provided.

Why another affiliates news blog?
I really looked for a simple site where I could get the information I was looking for.
What's an affiliates? How to I register? What do I need to do?
Well, I will try and explain what I've learnt in the past years.
So, what's an affiliate?

Well, I will try and explain what I've learnt in the past years.
So, what's an affiliate?
Google, Wikipedia and everyone else has many explanations for it. I will say it as such: It's a passive way to make some bucks, but only if you don't act too passively. Confused? well yea, consider this:
You have an Amazon associates account, but you do not publish it anywhere. Well, the point of actively marketing your new association is the whole point behind the association.
So, we have gone through the first phase. Now, how do I know if a site has an affiliates system? The answer is that most business sites have some kind of an affiliate system. There are many names for that, from Affiliates, Referrals, Associates, Friends network and more. Along my posts I will try to bring to you the better ones I come across (and some of the bad ones as well) and also the diversity of the business and areas that have these. For this blog, I will consider all of the systems by the same name: affiliates.
If you wondered of my blog name, If you got here, it worked. ^^
